Rider

Virginie Caulier

Born August 22, 1979. I was raised from a very early age in the equestrian world, my parents and riders met at their monitors. When they were overworked, they placed my park in the middle of the courtyard of our equestrian center. So I quickly caught the virus of riding, starting with ponies, not without difficulty, then I quickly mounted the show horses of my father.

Thus, I attended my first eventing (in 1 m) with a horse called Irlin experienced, in a competition held in my area (at Buvrinnes). I was only 11 years (I also lost during the test of road and trail race that has not existed for ten years).

I rode several different horses and in 1993, my parents acquired Kiona who was no less than "the mare of my life."
I quickly rose through the trials and got selected (not without difficulty, following an accident on a road and trail that earned me an operation of the malleoli) next year for my first European Championships Juniors in Pratoni del Vivaro. A 26 th place, but also a wealth of experience to get on the third place the following year (individual and team) at the European Championships in Sweden.

This allowed me to have several horses to ride with Jacky owners with whom I had the opportunity to win two championships in Belgium (Junior and Young Riders) and the criterion for the World Young Riders in Vittel.

In 1997, I attended my first CCI *** at Saumur.
End of this season and this was the climax and an individual gold medal at World Championship Young Riders in Pratoni del Vivaro with my faithful Kiona who was later acclaimed "Horse of the Year"

The following year, I experienced the other side of it and some hospitalizations due to falls.

In 1999, another crack (King`s Day) returns to the stables and allows me to win the senior championship of Belgium. Given the results, the horse has been appraised and the owner decided to sell it.
Along with this, I was selected with Kiona for senior European Championships, where my team won its first bronze medal for Belgium.

The following year, Kiona must stop his career due to injury and became a broodmare (she gave birth to six foals).

Having finished my graduate studies in Marketing, I go to work a few months from a breeder French) It was a good life experience. I had the opportunity to mount any kind of horses in poor conditions and finished in brilliantly Championship Young Horse Lion d`Angers in 7 years to a beautiful 15 th place on the stallion Walnut Petra.

Back in Belgium, I purchased a young horse Bonny C. My parents bought in after a few young "Hand in Glove", originally in vogue in full.
After a few years, Bonny who had a successful career under saddle left for Quatar where he won the Asian Games for the team of Quatar.

In 2003 the Belgian federation gives me the reins of the pony team as a coach (we have 4 bronze medals in team under our belt)

Kilo, one of the Hand in Glove comes in and stands in 2007 ***. Then we qualify for the European Championships in 2009 and again we win a bronze medal team.

Along with Kilo, I Nepal (Thieusies reached at 2 years) who rose through the ranks and made his first steps in 2009 *** end of 2010 to qualify for the next European Championships.

Following the good results obtained with the Pony team, it tells me the Juniors team.

Kiona foals take their first steps in full, I decide to keep and develop the third (Vowel). The others have 4, 3 and 2 years .... The future will tell!
